50km cycling (L)
In the morning, we’ll transfer out of the city and begin cycling to the ruins of the former Nui Dat Task Force Base. Little remains of the vast camp, except for the columns of the main gate; the former runway is now a wide street in the local village, and the heli-pad is now a soccer field. After visiting the site, we’ll drive past the Horseshoe (access not permitted due to mining activity) en route to the Decourtney Rubber Plantation. Then, we’ll pause to reflect at the Long Tan Cross before continuing to the Long Phuoc Tunnels. We’ll also visit Minh Dam (no longer the "Secret Zone"), Long Hai, and Ba Ria Market along the way. Lunch will be held at a historic house in Long Son. In the late afternoon, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City to conclude the trip.
