Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Vinh Long (60km) (L)
In the morning, we’ll transfer a couple of hours from Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre—the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Today’s ride will take you into the heart of rural Mekong life.
We’ll start cycling after a ferry ride across the Tien River at My Tho. The route will take you down narrow roads and paths, passing banana plantations, sugarcane fields, and the lush green landscape of the delta.
A section of the ride cuts off-road onto gravel and dirt lanes, winding through hamlets, water channels, and dense vegetation—perfect for an adventurous biking experience. We’ll stay overnight on An Binh Island.
Day 2: Vinh Long – Cai Be – Cai Lay – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (50km) (B, L)
After breakfast, we’ll cruise up the Mekong River to visit a nursery garden, where hundreds of young trees are cultivated before being moved to local gardens.
Next, we’ll continue by boat to the bustling Cai Be floating market. We’ll visit a family-run workshop to see the production of rice paper (a staple in Vietnamese cuisine), as well as pop rice, popcorn, and coconut candy.
After the boat trip, we’ll cycle to Cai Lay for a brief rest before continuing to My Tho for lunch. Afterward, we’ll visit the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda, a Khmer-style temple surrounded by lush gardens.
In the afternoon, we’ll ride through scenic fruit orchards in Tam Vu before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City, where the trip concludes.
